Announcing MRCNZ15

Thu, June 7, 2018  |

This year the team at MRCagney in Aotearoa turned 15 years old! As one of the few, and certainly the largest, sustainable transport consultancy firm in New Zealand, we think this is worth celebrating.

Our journey here started with the early concept design and planning for Auckland’s Northern Busway, one of the most successful public transport projects in the country which has helped shape the city and provided a competitive, alternative transport choice. While the types of projects we’ve worked on has expanded and changed over time, our focus on creating positive change, and our ethos as a company, has not.

Our purpose as a business is to make a positive difference for the people and communities in the cities and towns in which we work, with a specific focus on sustainable transport and urban outcomes that create positive and lasting change. We have always made conscious decisions to try and avoid projects which conflicted with our values. While it wasn’t easy at times, we think we’ve achieved something special.

To celebrate our milestone of 15 years, our team has chosen some of the projects they’re most proud to have worked on, the projects that they feel have made a real difference to all of us in Aotearoa. Over the next few months we’ll be sharing some of these stories with you through videos, blogs and articles, reflecting on what made the projects so great, and how they’ve had a positive impact on the communities and people of our wonderful nation.

Thanks to all our clients, partners and the communities we work in for your support over the past 15 years. We wouldn’t have had the privilege of working on these projects, and helping to shape the positive outcomes, without you.
