Since it was established in 2000, McCormickRankinCagney has grown quickly to become one of Australasia’s leading transportation consultancies, with offices throughout the eastern states of Australia and in Auckland, New Zealand. Our growing reputation is now bringing increasing numbers of assignments throughout the broader Asia Pacific region.

The company is an alliance between McCormick Rankin Corporation (based in Canada) and local Australian and New Zealand personnel. Its CEO, Neil Cagney, is the former CEO of Brisbane Transport (the City of Brisbane’s bus and ferry service operator) and also previously head of Brisbane’s strategic transport policy arm.

The acquisition in 2005 of Roger Brameld Consulting (an established civil, traffic and development engineering consultancy in Brisbane) has further broadened our capability and capacity to deliver quality outcomes for our government and private clients.

In addition to our engineering services is a niche management support services and knowledge management capability, providing clients with the benefit of our consultants’ substantial senior management and organisational experience.

We are also a niche provider of service design and modelling and Management Information Systems to transport agencies, and this area of operations is further extended through our alliance partners netBI Pty Ltd and PTVision.

(MRCorp) is a full service transport consultancy owned by key senior employees, with operations throughout the northern hemisphere. The broad range of transport expertise offered by the firm’s 300 engineers, planners and support staff enables it to provide an effective response to a wide variety of transport issues worldwide.

In association with McCormick Rankin Corporation in Canada, McCormickRankinCagney has a significant number of former heads of major public transit companies in its employ, four of whom are based in Australia. This combination of high level global and local expertise together with local knowledge and understanding is a defining feature of our organisation, enabling us to deliver quality advice that is not only at the forefront of international experience but also entirely relevant to the specific and often unique environment of projects in our region.
