Beth is a transport analyst at MRCagney, with experience working on data analysis and visualisation.
Beth is currently completing her Bachelor in Engineering (Honours) at the University of Auckland, where she is specialising in Engineering Science. This background in applied mathematics and computer science helps her to solve a wide range of problems.
Beth has experience from a range of data science projects, including multiple projects modelling transport emissions. Beth was the technical lead on Transport 2030 – a project to dynamically model and visualise transport emissions in Auckland, which was developed in partnership with the 1 Point 5 project. This emissions model is now being developed for other parts of New Zealand, and the Australian state of Victoria.
Beth has been awarded the Kupe Leadership Scholarship in 2021. This scholarship is awarded to students showing academic strength, a commitment to service, and a sense of purpose.
