Kiri is a transport planner with a background in environmental planning. Splitting her time between the MRCagney Auckland and Hamilton offices, Kiri provides support across a wide range of projects.
Kiri graduated from the University of Waikato in 2020 with a Bachelor of Environmental Planning. She brings an understanding of the cultural processes which shape how individuals experience our cities.
At university, Kiri investigated urban spaces and planning processes, largely using a feminist and queer lens. She brings this intersectionality to her work at MRCagney. Since starting at MRCagney, Kiri has worked on multiple projects seeking to improve accessibility of public transport and the wider urban environment. These have included work on Hamilton Accessibility Improvement Advice; Rototuna Village Accessibility Audit; research into the experiences of transport for disabled people; and contributions to parking advice for New Zealand cities.
Kiri is a member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and sits on the Waikato Emerging Planners Committee (Waikato Branch). She received the 2020 NZPI Waikato Branch Outstanding Planning Student Prize for her dedication to her studies and the wider planning community.
